Kara, Age: 40 I arrived at boot camp a little overweight and completely out of shape-my love of junk food was starting to catch up with me as I was approaching 40. I knew I was ready for a change and boot camp sounded like a great place to get started. I laughed at myself the first day of camp as I realized how out of shape I really was. I could never have imagined I would still be getting up at 5:00 a.m., hauling my weights and yoga mat out of my car, 12 camps and a year and a half later. I love it more now than I did that 1st camp. I thought this would be a phase, and it too would pass. I figured I would go back to my old ways, but I must admit I am completely addicted! The variety of activities and pace of the class make the hour fly by each day. It is hard work (some days harder than others), but the rewards make it worth it. In addition to the physical changes to my body, I have become sharper mentally and my self-esteem has soared. This has allowed me to be a better person and live a better life!
